The costume drama The Book of Vision by Carlo Hintermann, with Terrence Malick as executive producer, will open the Venice International Film Critics’ Week on September 2nd.
The Book of Vision is a co-production with the participation of Rai Cinema, Entre Chien et Loup and Luminous Arts; among the producers there’s Gerardo Panichi, one of Hintermann’s partners in Citrullo International production shingle.
Terrence Malick and Carlo Hintermann have already worked together in Rosy-Fingered Dawn: A Film on Terrence Malick, focused on the American director’s life and works, and in The Tree of Life production.
Among the stars in the cast: Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), Dutch actress Lotte Verbeek, Sverrir Gudnason (Borg-McEnroe), Filippo Nigro (Suburra) and Isolda Dychauk (Faust).
The movie was presented at Mia 2017, within the What’s next Italy section.
