Starting from 30 July 2017, Auditel will publish the first TV ratings collected through SuperPanel, which adds 10.400 new units to the initial ratings of 5.700 families: this is an unprecedented operation at international level.
All over the world, people try to find a way to enlarge the sample and face new challenges imposing the different devices offered by modern technology. Italy is the country with the most solid panel-to-population ratio: SuperPanel triples the basis of the Auditel system and it will ensure more representative data from the multi-faceted national identity which are fundamental for future market research.
As Auditel says, SuperPanel is the most evolved tool to answer the fragmentation of broadcast audiences and to ensure the network coverage of VoD services, Smart TVs, computers, smartphones and tablets on which many television segments are enjoyed.
This is a clear intention of thinking of television beyond itself, not limited to its traditional consumption on the small screen. To lead the market in this transaction towards a certainly more updated and complex system, Auditel has developed a research workshop plan for all data users to train them for the reading and the use of the new metrics.
