Blackpills launches in Italy: this new streaming service for TV series was created for the enjoyment of a youth audience on the mobile devices. The episodes are provided for free and the profitability is guaranteed by the insertion of some commercials while watching the series. The maximum duration of every episode is 15 minutes, and a new one will be available every week. The subjects covered by the products are extremely topical: drugs, sex and violence with a coarse and explicit language.
Blackpills is a French platform founded by Daniel Marhley, creator of Deezer, and Patrick Holzman, director of Canalplay and Canal+International. Its objective is to reach 700 million of Millennials worldwide and Italy is the second European country where these mini-series are broadcasted, after the great success in France and the U.S.A. The project involves important names on the international scene, such as Zoe Cassavetes, Bryan Singer, Patrick J. Adams and James Franco. At the moment, the series are available only in English with Italian subtitles.
