Positive and growing figures for the Italian television Mediaset, thanks to the numbers of Publitalia, the group’s advertising sales agency. This is confirmed by the CEO Stefano Sala, who has no doubts about the Mediaset’s future.
For Publitalia, the first nine months of 2018 will close with an increase in advertising of 2.5%, this is the forecast of CEO Stefano Sala, on the occasion of an interview with the Italian financial newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore. The positive forecasts would also cover the entire year: “We have the ambition – said Sala – to close 2018 in positive despite the absence of revenues from football in the last four months. According to Publitalia’s CEO, this picture is also very significant in terms of the market: “Our core TV business, also thanks to the World Cup, is growing sharply, while the rest of the Italian TV market, as a whole, shows a negative trend”.
Stefano Sala also spoke about the rumours that Mediaset would say goodbye to pay-TV, in this regard the CEO of Publitalia stressed: “We will continue to be publishers of pay channels of cinema and series: this is our job”.
