Regione Siciliana in agreement with Sicilia Film Commission has announced €10.8 million in support for audiovisual productions for 2022-2023.
The call is open to Italian, European and international companies and non-profit cultural associations planning to open audiovisual productions on Sicilian territory. Expenditure in the Sicilian Region of 150% of the contribution requested must also be guaranteed.
Of the €10.8 million earmarked, €8.8 million for films and TV series, also in animation and with fiction content; €1.8 million for documentaries, also as TV series or in animation; €200,000 for short films.
Funding is non-repayable and may not exceed 20% of the total production cost. Films and TV series will not be eligible for grants of more than €1 million, while the ceiling for documentaries drops to €200,000. For short films, the maximum amount obtainable is €40 thousand.
