Erik Barmack has worked in television and new media production, strategy, operations, and distribution for 25+ years. Most recently, he founded Wild Sheep Content, a production, strategic growth, and packaging company that has sold twenty projects to ten global partners over its first year of operation.
Previously, he has served in a variety of senior executive roles at Netflix focusing on business operations, strategy, and cross-platform product and growth initiatives in new markets, with oversight over multi-billion dollar budgets and large, international teams. He led several territory launches, driving product, marketing and finance across these expansions, has a track record of transforming large organizations, and established the international original strategy at Netflix. In addition, he has helped shape Netflix’s original and first-run strategies for kids content, independent film, anime and other genres.
Prior to Netflix, Erik headed up the first social media rollouts on ESPN/Disney, and served a number of business development roles relating to mobile/digital strategy at ESPN, was the COO of a fantasy sports start-up that was later sold to The Sporting News, authored two books and worked as a journalist for several years.
