As Senior Vice President Sky Studios Deutschland & Italia, Nils Hartmann leads the development, commissioning and production of Sky Original dramas and scripted comedies for Sky Deutschland as well as overseeing the production of Sky Originals features for Sky Italia.
In his previous capacity as Director of Original Productions at Sky Italia, Nils Hartmann produced a range of groundbreaking shows and series – from The Young Pope and Romanzo Criminale to the Gomorrah and Devils franchises – that won critical acclaim, awards and fans around the globe.
A native German, Mr Hartmann grew up in Milan, Italy; he has been with Sky Italia since its inception in 2003, actively contributing to its success, notably by spotting, nurturing and developing ideas, as well as talent.
