ANICA will host the first edition of the China – International CO-Production Film Screenings from 9 to 11 June. The event is organized for MiBACT and SAPPRFT (State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television), with the support of the Chinese embassy in Rome. The event will take place at Casa del Cinema in Rome and the programme plans the screening of five films representing examples of co-productions between China and the rest of the world.

President of ANICA Francesco Rutelli has stated: “this initiative is another glad cooperation project between Italy and China aimed to promote co-productions between the two countries and to make known Chinese cinema in Italy”.

The scheduled films are Herman Yu’s Shock Wave (known to the Western audience for the Ip Man saga); Jean-Jacques Annaud’s Wolf Totem, based on the novel by Jiang Rong, big editorial success in China; Jia Zhangke’s Mountain May Depart, critical success at Cannes 2015; Xu Jinglei’s Somewhere Only We Know; Huo Jianqi’s Xuan Zang.
