Sustainability

MIA is a ISO20121 certificated event!

Just like its last edition, MIA, in addition to increasing and improving its activities in service of the industry, adopts the values of environmental awareness and economic and social sustainability and continues its important path towards the realization of a totally sustainable market event, from an environmental, social and economic point of view.

A series of concrete actions will be implemented, such as the choice of minimizing the use of disposable materials by replacing them with compostable and PLA, proposing food at km0, implementing the recovery of food surpluses in collaboration with the ACLI. Thanks to the collaboration with the Trentino Film Commission and Green Film, since 2019 the MIA is a sustainable event certified according to the international standard ISO 20121.

MIA is committed to ensuring that the management system implemented and certified ISO 20121 is oriented, in the various editions, to the continuous improvement of the market’s sustainability performance and to operate in full compliance with Italian law. The sustainability policy of the MIA will be constantly monitored and updated in order to ensure the effective and lasting reduction of environmental impacts over time and the enhancement of economic and ethical-social benefits.

The MIA sustainability program is inspired by the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and, in particular, contributes to the implementation of the following sustainability objectives:
